About this place
St. Mary's Church (dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary) is a massive brick Gothic church from the 14th century, towering over Darłowo's Old Town. Its massive structure and tall tower are one of the city's symbols.
The most valuable memento is the stone sarcophagus of King Eric of Pomerania—the only Pole (or rather, Pomeranian) to reign over three Scandinavian kingdoms. The interior also houses valuable epitaphs, burial chapels of the Pomeranian family, and historical furnishings.
The church is located in the very center, near the market square and town hall—a perfect addition to a walk through historic Darłowo.
