About this place
The Stone Gate, also known as the High Gate, is the only surviving of Darłowo's three medieval city gates. Built in the 15th century as part of the brick and stone defensive walls, it guarded the entrance to the city from the port and sea.
It remains impressive to this day with its tall, pointed arch and brick detailing. The gate is one of the most visible traces of the former fortifications and perfectly captures the character of Darłowo as a historic, fortified Hanseatic city.
